Summer biking adventure
This summer I decided to bike to work every day. To give some context; This summer I have an internship at Bekk again. I did this last summer too, and I alos biked every day then. However last summer I thought it would be cool to take it more seriously and track my biking using my watch. Here are the results of my summer biking adventure.
The route
I live in Høybråten, which is a suburb of Oslo. The distance to the office is according to Google Maps is 12.2 km. The upward slope is 191 meters and the downward slope is 25 meters from my home to the office.
Quantitative Results
I would have liked to do a thorough analysis of my biking. Especially with quantitative data. As I was only tracking using my watch, I was limited to the data it provided. Also, I have had a lot of things going on this summer, which has made me down prioritize this analysis.
This article is therefore temporary and may be updated in the future.
For now here is this map I made for every time i commute to work this summer. I have removed outliers to make the data more readable.
Each ride has a color that is interpolated from red to blue depending where the where blue dots indicate the latest rides and red indicate the oldest rides.
